This emerald warrior, a beetle of dazzling iridescent green, embodies the spirit of Sisyphus. Undeterred by the weight of recycled bottle caps, he pumps his tiny iron will, a testament to the power of resilience and the beauty found in unexpected places.

I love beetles and this little guy is no exception. I was looking to paint a lovely green beetle – the beautiful iridescent green that is often reserved just for the insect world. And really what else would a Hercules beetle, with out a battle, be doing but lifting weights. The shiny bottle caps in place of dull black weight seemed a fitting addition and the Upcycled Hercules came to life.
